Abstract: It is discussed that main factors and mechanics,which influence the water discharging and duration from aquifer of roof sandstones.The results indicate that natural factors include subsurface hydrodynamic environment,structural complexity,lithologic composition of sandstone,thickness of aquifer,meanwhile the artificial factors include shear height and mining speed of work face and degree of roof sandstone dewatering.The conclusion is of great significance for water control of roof sandstone.
