THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE CA RBONI FEROUS SYSTEM AND THE ORIENTATION FOR COAL EXPI ORATION IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE HEXI CORRIDOR

  • 摘要: 河西走廊东部石炭系发育、展布受晚古生代前陆盆地控制。虽然以武威为界的东、西两部存在一定差异,但均具有沉降中心和聚煤中心由南向北迁移,海侵方向由SW→SWW→NWW变化的特征。聚煤中心可能主要位于西部中央隆起南缘及东部靖远磁窑一带,北祁连逆冲推覆体下及山前可能也有较好的找煤前景。

     

    Abstract: The development and distribution of the carboniferous system in the eastern part of the Hexi corridor were controlled by the foreland basin of the later Palaeozoic period. Although there are differences between regions which lie to the east and west of Wuwei county, both of the two regions have the same fea- tures of subsidence center and coal-forming center which migrated from south to north, and the change of orientation of transgression is SW-SWW-NWW. The coal-forming center is supposed to be situated at the southern edge of the western middle rising and nearby. Under the thrust faults and in front of the niorthern Qilian mountains there may be a better prospect for further exploration.
