Direct current forward modeling based on COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS

  • With point electric source and line electric source as example, the paper introduces in detail the process of carrying out DC forward modeling with COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS.By comparing and analyzing COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS modeling result and theoretic value of typical model, the validity and feasibility of DC method forward modeling based on COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS are proved.Due to the powerful mesh dissection, solution function and abundant post process operation, it has important significance to apply COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS in geophysical modeling.
