Prediction technology of micro fractures by occurrence-controlled ant body and its application

  • Based on Petrel and OpendTect, the paper summarized a set of ant body tracking technology controlled by dip and azimuth and a case study of micro fracture prediction has been conducted in oil and coal field. It is considered that ant body technology can effectively identify the micro fractures that common methods can't. Therefore, the fracture system can be meticulously analyzed and fracture reservoir could be effectively forecasted. In coal field, this technology can recognize the minor fractures and predict the hydraulic conductivity of coal seams.
