Prediction technology of surrounding rock gas zones by multiple factor coupling in coal mines with coal-oil-gas coexistence

  • Unusual gas emission from surrounding rock has been a serious threat to work safety and efficient mining in coal mines with coal-oil-gas coexistence. Based on surrounding rock gas reservoir distribution, combining with the analysis of the factors controlling gas occurrence, this paper puts forward a multi-factor coupling technology of regional prediction of surrounding rock gas on the basis of geologic structure, lithology, gas reservoir, and mining influence. Using the technology, the distribution of surrounding rock gas of coal seam 2 in Huangling coalmine No.2 was predicted, the zonation of surrounding rock gas was completed. The key areas to prevent surrounding rock gas were pointed out, the defense area of surrounding rock gas was reduced by nearly 30%.
