Theoretical study on temperature rising of the diamond bit

  • Through establishing a mathematics model between impregnated diamond bit and rocks, which is based on the regularity of conservation of energy, we analyzed the regular variation between the drilling regime parameters and temperature of the diamond bit, and also deduced an equation between them. It shows that:within a certain limit, the temperature rising variation of the diamond bit is in linear with the variation of the product of drilling pressure and rotational speed, and the result of temperature rising caused by drilling pressure is as the same as it caused by rotational speed. With the mathematics model of simple harmonic oscillator, we also studied the friction energy and its distribution between diamond bit and rocks. The distribution of friction energy between diamond bit and rocks is related with their elastic modulus(hardness), and the distributive law is as follows:Q1:Q2=E2:E1.
