Study of features of Paleogene seismoturbidite rocks in central uplift belt,Huimin depression

  • Based on research work including core, thin section, grain size and image logging analysis,it is presented for the first time that the turbidites and typical seismites(shattered rocks, seismic corrugated rocks and autoclastic breccia) coexist in the upper third member of Shahejie Formation in central uplift belt,Huimin depression, therefore these turbidites belong to the turbidites of seismic origin, the seismoturbidite rocks and seismite are separated by seismic unconformity.Seismoturbidite rocks and non-seismoturbidite rocks have the similar Bouma sequences, and the difference is that cataclastic textures develop in the grains of gravelly sandstone in the bottom of seismoturbidite rocks's Bouma sequence.Vertically, the seismoturbidite rocks are usually above similar tsunamites or seismites. All of them compose an integrated sequence of seismite-similar tsunamite-seismoturbidite rock,a sequence of seismite-seismoturbidite rocks or a sequence of unshocked layer-seismoturbidite rock. The discovery and research of turbidite of seismic origin provide one of theoretical foundations for studying the event deposition of lacustrine basin and judging the 'polygenesis' of reservoir sandbody in Jiyang sub-basin.
