Stability analysis on segment k207+690~830 slope of Huangling-Yan’an highway

  • Based on the analysis of the characteristics of segment K207+690~830 slope of Huangling-Yan'an highway, the stability of the slope, affected by rainfall infiltration,is contrastively studied by means of surplus thrust force method, limit equilibrium theory and strength reduction FEM.Considering the characteristics of the slope,a comprehensive treatment plan combining gravity retaining wall and draining surface-water is advanced. The analysis and assessment of the slope stability after treatment show that the safety factor of the slope is greatly increased.Compared with the conventional analytical method of slope stability, the safety factor of slope obtained through strength reduction FEM is reasonable, and bears definite physical significance. The paper concludes that the superiority of strength reduction FEM in the analysis of slope stability and reinforcement effect is obvious, which deserves practice and generalization.
